Dishonest company, poor craftsmanship, thieves.

PSA: Buyer beware in Windsor Ontario - if you’re thinking of doing a bathroom renovation, stay away from the company called “Smart Bath / Tub Doctor”. This is what they call finished work after charging my mom $10,000 for a renovation. I spoke with the owner Gloria Snowsell who said she would come back and finish the work, but instead has blocked me and will not return to fix their shotty work.

My husband & I recently decided to update our bathroom. We saw Smart Bath advertised in the Lasalle Post and decided to call. We were very happy that we did. Within a day, Vern and Gloria came out to our house, sat down with us and listened to our wants and needs. They came up quickly with a design that we really liked. They were very professional and knowledgeable. All the products were high quality. We were very impressed with their proficiency. Paul and Dave were very professional and knowledgeable. We felt very comfortable having them working in our house. Plus they were great with our dog (which we really appreciated). Stephanie in the office kept us informed of materials being delivered . They were a great team to work with. We would recommend Smart Bath to anyone wanting good quality work done in their home. We have had so many compliments on our new bathroom. We really appreciate all the help this company gave us.

I would like to edit my review to give them a -5 stars.
We recently called them to have a repair done (that was there mess up in the first place) to not only NOT get a phone call back, when we did get a hold of them (a month later) we were told that no one would be coming by to repair anything for us - ever. Because, they didn't like the truthful review that i placed on there google page - to warn other people to not use there services (for this exact reason). They were rude to my boyfriend on the phone and basically told him "too bad, so sad", and we get screwed that they did a horrible job and won't fix it because I left a truthful review on there google to warn other customers.
So now we are left with cracking grout, gaps in our tile and a chipped tub. We got this done last September - and I wish we would have went with Lowe's like we intended. Instead we decided to support a local business and got this in return. We are furious and disappointed all in one - now we have to spend another $1000 to fix all their mistakes. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Don't waste your time or money with this company.
They have no problem taking your money, and doing a terrible job.
It's not like their prices are cheap either, we figured we'd go with them, spend a bit more money for the services (to get what you pay for attitude).
We were met with late appointments, no phone calls and half assed work.
The company left all the garbage at our house that I had to call and complain to have them move it (which i was told in the contract all garbage would be taken),damaged our laminate floor, and holes left in the wall where grout should meet the tile. They even tried to charge us more money after the fact! It hasn't even been a year and the tub we had refaced is already chipping... I guess now we're wiser, and know to look into things more.

Witnessed the poor work ethic as a barroom that should’ve taken a week took 7 and they changed the start date a few time so a 5 week late start is unacceptable! To inconvenience a couple and disrupt lives as a bathroom is a pretty big necessity! Having to change a baby shower at the last minute was a complete lack of professionalism on the part of this company. A pregnant woman being inconvenienced during what is supposed to be a special time absolutely unacceptable and inconsiderate! Then to be hounded for final payment while having a baby, just plain lack of decency. Didn’t like the honest review so a letter is sent again harassing! Don’t tell someone it will take 1 week to do a renovation then it takes 7! Things happen and don’t always go as planned that is understandable but by your calculations you could’ve done 7 bathrooms in that time! I had my 5x5 bathroom gutted and completely updated in 10 business days!

Also you may want to rethink who you’ve got working for you as if you renovate bathrooms you have to think that installing toilets and showers properly would be a quality you would want in a worker!

Reading the reviews this seems to be common in this company. Perhaps the good reviews are from family or friends. Perhaps change the name too because Smart Bath is completely misleading!
7 weeks to do a bathroom that you said would take 1 week! Absolutely no excuse for it taking that long!!!

I had my mothers bathroom renovated in Windsor by Smart Bath and I was pleased with the end result. The crew members (sorry forgot their names) were profesional and left the space spotless once they had completed the work. Would use their service again!

This review is long overdue. Over two years ago, my husband spent 3 weeks in the hospital and we needed to change our shower to accommodate his needs. Vern and Gloria were amazing, sharing their knowledge, skills and compassion. The quality of workmanship was outstanding. My husband was able to enjoy a hot shower almost every day. Thank you Vern and Gloria for providing this quality of care for him.♥

I hired this company to complete my walk in shower (physical limitations)....Guys were nice but Extremely disorganized. Agreements were not kept.A job that I was told would take a week took over two and is technically not compleate at the he moment( due to my frustrations to conversation with owner another agreement not kept.) This was started in September ....

In response to the owners comment. I was told Iby owner I would hear something by the end of the week to complete the task. This never happened. I had to call spoke to employee who stated they were busy and may get here next week. Yet again putting off my need to have it finished was told like stated it was a small job weather it be small or not incomplete is incomplete.
